We are families just like you. All of us are volunteers. Some of us have completed our families, some of us are in the middle and some of us are just starting.
FRUA, Inc is a non-profit support organization for families with children adopted from the former Soviet Union and its surrounding republics. FRUA, Inc stands for Families of Russian and Ukrainian Adoptions Including
Neighboring Countries.
There are no easy answers and no questions that cannot be asked so we have come together to form the local Oregon chapter of FRUA, Inc. Some of us have a few answers but together we can find answers to all of our questions.
FRUA INC has families with children from the following countries: Belarus, Bulgaria, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Romania, Russia, Ukraine, Hungary and the United States
Our chapter has families with children from Bulgaria, Kazakhstan, Republic of Georgia, Russia, and Ukraine. Won't you bring your children to help us grow?
We have monthly meetings, held on the first Friday of every month alternating between Beaverton and West Linn. We would love to have you just drop in, introduce yourself, have a cup of coffee and share your stories with us. These meetings are very informal and are held from 7:00-8:30pm. Children are, of course, welcome. If you have a scrapbook, travel journal or any other type of record of your adoption...bring it in. We can't wait to see it!
